Canara Bank MD & CEO Shri Brajesh Kumar Singh Inaugurates Kerala Grameena Bank's Golden Jubilee Celebrations
Kerala Grameena Bank (KGB) formally launched its year-long Golden Jubilee Celebrations, commemorating 50 years of the Regional Rural Banking movement in India, on KGB Day. The celebrations were inaugurated by Shri Brajesh Kumar Singh, Managing Director & CEO of Canara Bank, Sponsor Bank of Kerala Grameena Bank, in the presence of the Bank's Chairperson Smt. Vimala Vijayabhaskar, Board of Directors,  General Managers, executives, senior officials, employees and other distinguished guests.
 
On the occasion, Shri Brajesh Kumar Singh inaugurated the Revamped KGB Website, SHG Module, OTS Module, and RuPay Select Card, underscoring Kerala Grameena Bank's continued focus on digital transformation and customer-centric banking.
 
Addressing the gathering, the Canara Bank MD & CEO congratulated Kerala Grameena Bank on its remarkable journey over the past five decades and lauded its significant contribution towards financial inclusion, rural development and inclusive economic growth. He appreciated the Bank's consistent progress in business performance, digital innovation and customer service, and reaffirmed Canara Bank's continued support in Kerala Grameena Bank's pursuit of excellence and sustainable growth.
 
Presiding over the function, Smt. Vimala Vijayabhaskar, Chairperson of Kerala Grameena Bank, reaffirmed the Bank's commitment to delivering innovative, technology-driven and customer-centric banking services while remaining steadfast in its developmental mandate and strengthening its position as one of the country's leading Regional Rural Banks.
 
Shri Jyothis Jagannadh, General Manager, NABARD, congratulated Kerala Grameena Bank on the commencement of its Golden Jubilee celebrations and appreciated the Bank for being the only Regional Rural Bank in India to be featured in the prestigious Forbes World's Best Banks list. He commended the Bank's exemplary contribution towards financial inclusion, rural development and socio-economic empowerment across Kerala, while assuring NABARD's continued guidance and support for its developmental initiatives.
 
The inaugural ceremony marked the beginning of a year-long series of programmes celebrating Kerala Grameena Bank's rich legacy of service, innovation and inclusive growth, while reaffirming its commitment to empowering rural communities and delivering best-in-class banking services across the State.
