Financial Literacy Centres

To educate, counsel and train the public on financial matters

Overview

  • Financial Literacy Centres (FLCs) is a campaign by RBI to provide banking and finance related information and advice to the public. The FLCs have seasoned bankers as Counselors. They provide bank-neutral service, free of cost.
  • 10 "Gramadeepam" Financial Literacy Centres manned by experienced Financial Literacy Counsellors (FLCs) for financial literacy and awareness

Activities

  • Special camps for people who are newly inducted to banking
  • Specific camps for groups like students, farmers etc.
  • Free counseling to the public
  • Departments, schools, residents’ associations etc. can hire the service of the counsellors free of cost
  • Financial Literacy cum account opening camp arranged at Podiyam Settlement (10 KM inside Agasthyarkoodam forest) organized by KGB Kottoor,Trivandrum District
